12 Acres Brewery – From their ground, to your glass!

Named after the “12 Acres field” where they’ve been growing malting barley for the brewing and distilling industry for generations, “12 Acres Brewing Company” are a micro-brewery located in County Laois, set up by brothers Patrick, Ian, Barry & Rory McDonald on their family farm in Clonmore, Killeshin.

This craft brewery are unique in Irish brewing and are the first micro-brewery to provide full traceability for its malting barley and brew with their own farmed barley crop, as well as using their own spring water supply, originating from deep beneath their land.

This unique selling point is not only a first in Irish brewing, but also an essential quality and direct impact in flavour in the beers themselves.

Their core range consists of a generously dry-hopped American Pale Ale, a luscious, balanced Rye IPA and a German style Kolsch or lagered beer brewed using 100% 12 Acres own barley.
